Here’s more of what’s going around, including updates on a new co-working space planned for the South Slope, a new downtown hot dog shop, and a lonely otter at the WNC Nature Center. Here we go:
Switchyards, an Atlanta-based co-working company, is planning to open in the building at 217 Coxe. Ave, suit 201. (That building is home to the Open Hearts Art Center and a couple of other small businesses.) Switchyards, which calls its sleek spaces “neighborhood work clubs,” operates in Atlanta, Charlotte and Nashville. The cost is $100 a month (new members get a discount for the first week), which includes the work space (broken into three different areas: a main area, a quiet “library” and phone booths for calls) and an endless supply of coffee and/or tea, as well as the prerequisite Internet service.
